In the Eye of the Beholder

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. (John Lennon)

Life becomes religious whenever we make it so: when some new light is seen, when some deeper appreciatin is felt, when some larger outlook is gained, when some nobler purpose is formed, when some task is well done. (Sophia Lyon Fahs)

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. (Carl Jung)

If life was a truck would you rather have it hit you or just pass you by?

The quote from John Lennon happens to be one of my favorites, from one of my favorite songs by him (Beautiful Boy). I used to sing it to my son all the time when he was younger and I would rock him to sleep.
